About Jonathan Bennett

Jonathan Bennett was born in 1978. He graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in history from Ohio University. In addition to history, he focused his studies on the Greek language, art history, and philosophy. In 2002, he received a Master of Theological Studies degree from Candler School of Theology (Emory University) graduating with a perfect GPA. His main areas of focus were the Scriptures and Church history. He is a member of several honor societies including Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Alpha Theta (history), Eta Sigma Phi (classics), and Theta Phi (theology). He is currently working on a post-Masters certificate in religious education.

Born Methodist, he converted to Anglicanism in 2000. However, after a long and prayerful journey he was received and confirmed in the Catholic Church on August 14th of 2004. His main theological interests are Scripture, Church history, liturgy, the Sacraments, and finding new ways of helping contemporary people connect with the truths of the Catholic Faith.

He currently lives in the Cleveland area and teaches religion to high school students. His hobbies include fitness, health, golf, shooting, racketball, reading, writing, photography, and spending time with friends and family. He is married with a step daughter and a new child on the way.

Jonathan has written and spoken on a variety of topics, including his conversion to the Catholic Church, baptism, being born again, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Biblical criticism and Catholicism, the Church year (with a followup essay), Catholicism and the End Times, the Saints, the resurrection of Jesus, Christ the King, the Virgin Birth, Christmas, Lent, and many more topics in a variety of Catholic Articles, Church Year Informational Materials, and blog posts In addition, his blog served as an informal tribute to the late Pope John Paul II.
